The United States men's national team is in the process of finalizing deals to play Brazil and Mexico during the September international window, multiple sources told ESPN FC.

The matches, set to be played between Sept. 3 and Sept. 11, will take place at venues in the U.S. still to be determined.

The friendlies could mark the debut of the next U.S. men's manager, and with the U.S. already slated to play friendlies against England and Italy in November, the new coach will face some high-level competition right away.

The U.S. has beaten Brazil just once and lost 17 times in 18 meetings, and last played the Selecao in 2015, suffering a 4-1 defeat in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Mexico has been a frequent U.S. opponent, with the two teams squaring off 67 times, the most recent of which was a 1-1 draw in a World Cup qualifier at the Estadio Azteca last June.

The U.S. is set to play Bolivia in the Philadelphia area in May, followed by friendlies in Ireland and France in early June.

U.S. interim coach Dave Sarachan confirmed earlier on Wednesday that Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic will return to the squad for the Bolivia friendly.
